Batt Compartment Mod
Hi,
This is how I mod the battery compartment.
1. Heat an old penknife blade / flat screw driver
2. Carefully use the heated blade / screw driver to melt the EPO "step" in the battery compartment. After that carefully enlarge the compartment by further melting.
3. Remember, this is a irreversible process... mistake =
Pic 1-2: see the very rough melted and enlarged batt compartment. Base is only <0.5 cm thick. Thank goodness the EPO is TOUGH and so far held up quite well.
Pic 3: A 3S 1500 mAH comfortably fitted with some space to spare. The EPO is able to stretch a little but I think 3S 1500-1600 mAH is about max (depending on actual batt dimension, of course). The battery will not shift in flight after the wires are connected.
Cheers,
Leon
