ya,..flies like a rocket,...really really fast with stock setup,...also, I use 2500 mAh 35 C batt...u need some good paint on this bird for good orientation...keep ur focus on it at all time cuz it will not fly like a Phx 2k

      Hi Throttle,

Thanks for your PM. I would beg to differ. I reckon that you should just save the money and get the Multiplex Blizzard. Although the Blizzard is more time consuming in the build, you will get more satisfaction flying it.

The electronics that come with the Blaze is - in my honest opinion - quite crappy. You will eventually want to change the stock power plant in no time. Further, the stock servos are not heavy duty enough to take on the additional speed... This plane only sounds fast and gives a nice "swoosh" on dives.

Do your own evaluation and you should find that the Multiplex Blizzard is a better "Price/Satisfaction" option.

      Just my 2 cents...

        thanks bro,

i am really new into this hotliner/warmliner thingy, i am really scared to invest on multiplex blizzard, its quite hefty on price, i rather top more and get eagle or e-wasp from soaringcomposites, that is why i wanted to try st blaze as an entry for my interest in hotliner, until i graduate then i might move on.

actually wanted to get this and change the esc to 40a before the maiden, thought of flying it at old holland road, do anyone know if the wing are detachable, i stayed JB, so would want to have the wings by parts.

JetHobby carries some good paint,...anyway, if u crashed this,...and most likely u will cuz its fast,..(u can crash it too even while trying to land it,..like I did today,..cracked the fuselage when one of the wing caught a tall grass)..repair is easy, besides, its cheap, no doubt blizzard is a much better product,...ur looking at 2X the price,..of course NTC hobby carries the better (original) power pac compared to jethobby imho..but at a higher price...unless ur totally proficient with this plane, dont go for Blizzard,...unless money is of no concern to u

the decending approach is very fast on this plane,..hence,..its a good plane to start to learn how to manipulate those elevon or flaperon or whatever ron ...and when u r totally confident with this,...can always upgrade to blizzard,..I think its smaller,..which only means much faster

After thoughts about plane modification..aka upgrade...

When I asked the owner of Aerosmith about possible upgrade of their pnp Blaze, he told me the existing stock setup is good enough and after flying it I totally agree with him, also...some might disagree with me on this, but the real expert in any rc plane is the manufacturers themselve,...I would assume that they did not just get together one weekend and came up with all the plane design/setup for the particular model,...like any business, they have probably gone thru some research and testing,...so it is always a good idea to heed to the manufacturers suggestion on pairing motor and servos etc to the plane,..but sometimes, some of us beg to differ and thought that we know better,...going for the "extreme" setup...but fact remains,..the original design for the plane wasnt meant for "extreme" upgrade...one example I can think of is would u put a Himax motor used in Multiplex Merlin(cost like $69) on a kinectic 800 aka Cruise 800? You could,...but will the fuselage be able to handle the stress bought about by the Himax motor? Yes,...manufacturer for both Merlin n Cruise claimed that their planes are made of EPO foam,..but when u actually feel the foam body of Multiplex planes,...u will find the difference there.

Where did you get your blaze? Aerosmith? Price?

So, are you happy with it, is the wings detachable for easy transportation? Where do you usually play at?
