    3 Prop vs 2 Prop

Did a bench test on a 10x6E prop vs a 8x6(3 bladed prop) and here are the findings:

    2 prop - 10x6E

    Full throttle, max amp = 13 A giving 150 W
    60% throttle, max amp = 5.2A giving 59 W

    3 prop - 8x6

    Full throttle, max amp = 11A giving 132 W
    60% throttle, max amp = 5.4A giving 61 W....or something like that,

seems like they both perfrom about the same at half..or close to half throttle. BTW, in case some might ask, how are these 2 diff prop relevant to ea other, when you change from a 2 prop to 3 prop, normally u have to down size the prop for 3 bladed to prevent the motor from frying. Anyone has similar results on their test for diff prop?

I think a 3 bladed prop gives you more thrust but lower top speed while the 2 bladed prop gives you less thrust but higher top speed.

Should be. But its at the expense of the plane's top speed. Some people used 3-bladed or 4- bladed prop for scaled appearance.
