    ESC and Throttle Problem

Hello to all the flying gurus. I need your expertise to help me overcome a problem with my ESC, RX and Battery.
I am using a Spektrum DX8 Transmitter, the Receiver that came along with it (AR8000), stock motor 2200KV, stock ESC of 25A rating and 3-cell LiPo battery of 1500mAh. All these are fitted into the AXN Floater Jet a.k.a Clouds Fly.
Crashed it once. Got it under the knife and managed to do a decent face-lift and a nose job. Flew once more and when I took it out to fly again a couple days ago couldn't get the RX to sync. It did the routine start up but a continued beep sounded off. I managed to solve that but then throttle failed to engage. I could get the ailerons and stabilizers to work but not the throttle. Tried a couple times, checked wiring and motor mount. All seems to be in order.
So, i checked the forum and found this thread and tried the remedy.
    1. Put Throttle to High.
    2. Switch on TX
    3. Connect Battery to ESC.
    4. Wait for a few beep sounds and pull back throttle to zero.
    5. Wait for few more beep sounds and a long beep that completes the programming of the ESC.
After doing this now I can't even get the RX to do the sync dance! Just a beep and the RX don't get no fancy power lights no more.
    Did I miss anything?
I disengaged the High Throttle alarm when doing the set up because the instructions were before turning ON the TX it should be place at full stroke. Well I did and diligently did the rest but I think it just got badder??
Can you helpful people out there, please shed some light here? I miss flying .... I need all the help I can get.
Thank you to all whom are reading this and giving me your 2-cents worth.
    Cheers y'all.

well, one way is to change out the electronics one by one to troubleshoot which electronic is giving u problem.
another way is to go to a flying field and consult the people there. who knoes, they might be able to resolve it in matter of mins.
all i know is that for safety purpose, always throttle at lowest before powering up, unless u are programming the esc, even then, the prop should be disconnected. hope u solve your problem soon.

You wanna try reversing your steps 1 and 2?

The reason for setting your Tx to high position is so that the ESC may learn the full range of your Tx. However Tx these days will not send throttle signal if you power on with any throttle, so I suspect with you current procedure, your ESC still did not manage to learn the full throttle range. Hence my suggestion.

        1. Is your zero throttle really zero?
If you trim it slightly up it is not fully zero and thus ESC does not recognize.

        2. Check for loose motor / JST connections.

To my brudders out there who replied to this thread... a big THANK YOU!!!
I managed to overcome the problem and Throttle is working. The sync is normal and the RX lights up without abnormalities.
Followed the steps and didn't bother much about which 'beep' to listen to. Just calibrated the extremes from Hi to Lo an a matter of a few seconds and disconnected the battery. Then I simulated how I would prep for flying....switch on TX then connect battery and check flaps, tail and fin and then release throttle lock and nudged the stick a little up. The motor whirred, eager to go sonic!! It was music to my ears.....
Thank you guys. I appreciate it.
And thank you to my lieutenant for being such a hard a@@. Yeah, I should be more attentive. sorry.
Well let's see what she can do this Sunday.....
            Cheers y'all.
