I am pleased to informed I had successfully maiden my J3 Cub this afternoon The flight is so shiok that we ( I & Bon .... w Ray drooling ) did not let the motor rest, just keep pushing it

Overall flight is cool and easy. Sign of it head up is obvious. Will try to "stack" up the trailing edge. Fun factor? = 100%

        Cheers

          Wadever the journey, keep flying!

Yup... If I got money I thinking of getting or building my own plane also. Thinking of going Jet Fighter like F/A18 or F14 or F15. Or propeller like Mustang or HellCat or Spitfire.

            Super-Hornet

              hi,
We flew our red Piper Cub this afternoon too. It was breezy but was fun.

              cheers,

              I have seen them all.

A nerd looking and sick flyer who thinks that he is a great modeller.

hey mike i was actually thinking of getting another cub and doing it up real nice with scratch built scale gear struts with some bungee suspension and all.

the only thing on the cub that was annoyign was the landing gear alway a piece of crap not solid.

Maybe i could prototype one for yours or fits if you guys could get me some suitable piano wire and some copper tubing to try it out these few days ?

what i got in mind would probably be quite ehavy though hmmm

Piang oei ..... that piper looks sooooooooo sweet. Care to share the spec? wingspan and weight please? Wat power plant to fly it. I am not those hardcore flyer.... I love smooth and gentle.....

I use to scratch built lazy bee and gave 2-3 free to fren NUTZ...

DYeo, I bought a pair of scale wheels intend for the Cub..... but after crashing Bon plane yesterday morning... ( On diff mode lah ) I msg him telling him I will rush to complete mine so that we can fly later and the fun never stop ...... so I will keep spending time to fly ..... looks like those wheel will be on the shelf

                        hi,
Here is the specs of our Piper Club.

                        Length: 62cm
                        Wingspan: 96cm
Motor: Union Motor 280 c/w carbon fibre prop
Wing design: Flat bottom with wash out
                        Finished: light weight cover film

Parkflyer flew it and I watched most of the time. Had hand-ons for a while. But the wind was too strong for a beginner like me. Crashed a few times, luckily still in good condition - no breakage at all. Probably the covered film and balsa reinforcement helps.

Parkflyer advised me that this is for intermediate flyer. I would probably fly a slower Piper Cub another time. Still has 3 more Piper Cub on standby (for crashing).

                        cheers,
                        mack

Mike's apparent 'attitude' made me rethink my initial thinking that flying planes was no kick and no fun.

When he was flying his cub, he simply bo chap. A few times when i bend over to pick up my hornet he simply started up the cub and took off just beside me........ I mean if he's so sane to be able to curb his R/C fever when he had so many aircraft, and flying this thing around gave him so much kick that he didn't bother if the prop smack right up my ass next time must wear helmet and 'rear protector' ..... what's more to be said about E-planes that're much better than Piper cubs?

I neva saw him stop.... i think he finished all 3 packs....... Then he go fun fly and fly Feda every week like 5 minutes plus plus only........ Wah... that day he maiden all the way 1 hour man.......

Really made me think twice about owning the Hornet 2.....

E-planes: relatively cheap, and so much more 'fun' and relaxing.

                          Hornet: Stress Stress stress....

Eh, Who got buy Ikarus ShiokFlyer huh?
