I highly recommend getting the Champ from Hobbyzone as its slightly bigger , 3 channel and a real breeze to fly. It is carried at RCS too.

Champ is a very good beginner plane. I am learning to fly with it. You cannot go wrong with this plane.

          Pros:
          1) Easy to fly with good self stabilizing characterists
          2) Takes crashes very well.
          3) comes in rtf version and is quite affordable compared to other such type planes

          Cons:
1)Doesnt handle the wind very well. You need dead calm conditions or max 2-3 mph winds. Anything above this becomes more of a fight rather than flight (atleast for me).

I have read the E-flite Apprentice 15e and hobby zone super cub (not cub lp) have all these characterists and handles wind well as they are much bigger with more powerful motor. RCS carries Apprentice. havent seen cub here though

Yes I think the Eflite apprentice 15e should be a good size upgrade. I concur with the champ problem with higher wind speed too. It still floats well even when the motor looses steam to the wind.

My brother is going to maiden his 15e soon and eager to see it too in the coming week.
