    IsiPlot - View and print DXF files

    I would like to give scratch building a try.

    Was introduced to the Profili website as they have a vast array of plans. However, they are only downloadable in DXF format. Has anyone downloaded IsiPlot from that website? Looks like a nice software for easy printing of plans in DXF format:

    Not very sure how to download the software. Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello PD;

    you can just email the owner of the site. He is quite responsive to mails.

    FYI I own a registered copy of profili, but not isiplot.

    Normally I would go Queensway to print the plans on paper. Maybe I too should give Isiplot a try.

    It has been MORE than once I went there to print, and the people print out the wrong size paper, and I must pay for it....

      Yeah i emailed him last night and got a response early this morning. Apparently, the download link is online - I just did not open my eyes wide enough.

      Quite a neat software!

        I've been using Isiplot (and Profili)for a number of years. Back then had to send U.S.$ in envelope to Italy and Stefano would E-mail the download key. He is honest and fast. Now, of course, he takes paypal.
        Lately I've been using TilePrint from Blackflight Models.

        I had problems with Isiplot not printing accurately. The tiles (A4 sheets) weren't fitting together properly. To be fair this may have been my fault somehow. I'm kinda technophobic annd get lost trying to explore all the features of these programs (and cell phones, cameras, transmiters, etc., etc.) and tend to stick to the basic features available.
        Anyway, the Blackflight program has been accurate, with the little corner sync marks matching up perfectly.
        Also, I can size multiple sheet plans to the same scale easily. Couldn't figure out how to do this on Isiplot and this was a problem as many times a ruler is placed on only one sheet of a plan set and second sheet may have no measurements to re-size.

                  Yes. I have tried opening the DXF files using IsiPlot and have had no problems viewing them. You can even size them to your preference. Have yet to try printing out the plans though.
