    Rolling harrier tips?

Hi all 3d experts, how to get a perfectly angled rolling harrier? Is it the transition timing or yr control throws must be just right or the throttle management? From the vid as u can see, i just cant seem to get a nice angled rolling harrier. it always seem too flat instead of a harrier.

Maybe use more rudder when rolling from upright to inverted?

Bro, once you can do it on sim, time to move to the real world and practice from there. For me personally, it is way easier than sim lol. Dun get me wrong, the sim part is a great way to get started, once you feel it becoming muscle memory and orienting it becomes second nature, move to the actual thing. One of the few tips I can give you is focus a bit more on setup like aileron rates and cg placement. You will want a high rate where you can push the stick max doing rolls and concentrate on timing the controls to the roll than adjusting roll manually and learning at the same time. For cg, set it up in such a way that your elevator is neutral while the plane flies level needing just slight push inverted. Do barrier upright and inverted and also knifeedge on both sides, the height of alpha you can see from here determines your roll barrier too, any asymmetric controls found must be sorted out. Remember, the higher the alpha, the higher the throws you will want. Most people trying to learn roll barrier gives up because they focus not enough on setup to begin with. Your aileron throws is utmost important, what may seem excessive will become ineffective when the plane stall to a sliw barrier, when it won't roll, it will just drop nose really quickly. Hope it helps.
Stop looking for a gyro in my plane, they are all in the head.

Just an example of asymmetrical controls & CG not sorted out yet. You can see the movements being somewhat strange, this was the 4th flight of the Yak 54. There is also some decalage problem (incidence of elevator to wing). Basically, you should be able to do upright, inverted and knifeedge harriers with pretty much nearly the same deflection in your controls in all directions (depends on taste really), it will help with the showmanship of your roll. Power wise, I tend to blip some power when I deflect full rudder left and ease to idle depending on nose height.

              Rolling harrier starts from 1:21
