The purpose of this thread is very clear informing the current FPV issue at various site.

Flyers are at their own discreetion if they want to carry on or stop. Many members had already sounded their views here. Lets keep the comment / reply constructive and do not take this opportunity to finger point at particular group or flyers.

Think Joe meant the FPV gears.

        GIWM,

I don't want to elaborate further for the good cause. Thrust me. I went through the whole process and I'm still paying every year to get the piece of paper for my transmitter. Go find out more if you have to. You only touch the surface.

        Let's stick to FPV.

          Hi guys,

The reason why the FPV causes interferences is because their system frequency range falls within the same band as air navigation aid system (VORs, ILSs and TACAN) and communication band (VHF and UHF), thus it is not their 2.4GHz transmitter or their video downlink that cause the HooHaa.
In order to fly to the range of 4km+, they are not on the same system as us. They are on either VHF or UHF. Which is totally illegal to own at all without licence. With VHF or UHF, they are truly LOS (Line-of-sight). With proper system and antenna setup (both transmitting power and height), they can reach to a range up to 80km easily.
So for guys flying 2.4GHz or FM, not to worry too much, as long as you get your radio system from a local hobby shops and fly stock, you are ok.
But academically, or by right, all radio equipment have to be IDA approved or licence, but since they are not so sticky about it..Just be safe, be sure... Enjoy RC...

          Happy Flying.

            Nothing complicated if you're legit.

The dealer's license has nothing to do with your operating your Tx legitimately.

The Gun dealer's license permits him to import and sell guns but that does not mean buying a gun from him, you do not need to register and have a gun operator licence !

You have a radio in your car ? ...why do you have to pay radio licence fee when you renew your road tax every year even though the shop has a licence to import and sell you the car hi-fi ?
Seriously running out of ...Storage space !

bro, i am not talking about legitimate use. I am talking about the requirement to register our locally bought normal radio Tx, as mentioned by Joe. That is going to be big hassle.

At least my typo error can lighten up the atmosphere in this topic, amongst the heat.

Joe, don't worry about it, we are used to our lingo in this field. "Thrust" is part/parcel of our flying experience, ya?

Just when i want to apply my "skill" from FSX to some real life in-the-cockpit flying [the next best to having a PPL], this problem happens. Damned!

Sometimes it can be quite sickening to stay in such a small country
Restricted RC flying, banned FPV, cannot get the full PPL ......
                                The heat is still on!
