I think you miss the point here. IDA came down to check on the frequency and the output power of these devices. It somehow effected ATC's navigation equipment in Changi Airport. This surpass the design limitation of our RC craft.

As far as I know only 26.96 - 27.28mhz and 29.70 - 30.00mhz with an output of < 500mw is legal in Singapore. I heard IDA is planning to legalize 2.4ghz but I have yet to read anything about this.

You can read about aerial photography @ http://statutes.agc.gov.sg/non_versi...7942417-000165

After changi, maybe they ll come down to all the other sites within the vicinity of aerodromes. Seletar, Yishun area, Sembawang, Woodlands area, Tengah, Jurong area. Then the approach paths, for paya lebar which runs from the south, tengah, seletar. Not to forget the low level crossing areas. And if we re lucky the ECP FPV people might get nab too. Shore lines coastal routes are for heliroutes normally operating at 200ft. Pray hard after they get nab, we still have an ECP field.

                    hmmm

bro in the goodness of Daddyhobby, lets not pray that ppl get caught. Lets just try to disseminate the msg out to all the flying fields and to friends who are using fpv. We dont need to go to the extreme. After all, the rc community in singapore is not so big. Lets just advise them to stop or just delete the fpv post. Whatever it is, fpv flyers, be it we know them or not, are still friends of ours.

I have already inform ppl i noe who fly fpv regarding this matter and i think the msg was noted. Thats the least we can do imo. Lets spread the msg out as much as we can.

Cool down guys. The objective of this post to inform FPV flyers to be careful of flying such craft and the seriousness of their action . I have written privately to some of these guys before informing them of my concern. I always thought it was the photography and video that were post online that would cause the problem. I've never thought that radio transmission was the main concern and that it effected ATC.

I seen some of the video and I must admit you guys are cool to fly so far and yet can make your way back without navigation system.

I don't know how much damage has been done? I just hope nobody get caught and this incident will just blow away.

I hope so too. That is why I have spoken up. Please guys heed the warnings this time.
Go back in one piece to fly another day.
                            Having fun yet?

Hi, I think 2.4Ghz is already legal for Short Range Devises with RF Output Power of less than 100mW.

Read it from IDA's Singapore Spectrum Management Handbook Chapter 7. You can d/l the PDF from the link
