    Where to buy 3/16" x 1/4" spruce?

    Anyone knows the above?
Scratch building is more than cutting balsa wood and gluing them. Its a complex process that will test even the most resilient of people

If you can't find, you can substitude them with hybrid materials.

For example, get 1/4"x1/8" spruce and glue a strip of 1/4" x 1/16" basswood together to achieve 3/16" depth.

Or you can glue a strip of 1mm CF tow under the 1/4" x 1/8" spruce. You will need to alter the rib's spar cutout to accomodate though.

1/4" x 1/8" spruce strips are available in NTC and some other shops. 1/16"x24" basswood sheets are available in Art friends. Jetthobby might have it as well. 6mm CF strips of different thickness can be found in most hobby shops.

But if you just buy what you need, it can still be cheaper than buying a full kit.

Anyway, if all else fail, and if the structure can accomodate 1/4" x 1/4" spruce and its weight penalty, you'll have another option.

Another suggestion. If it is for the spars, you can use 1/4" x 1/8" spruce fullspan, and glue another strip of 1/4" x 1/8" spruce from the wing centre joint to about 3/4 way of the wing span. This kind of spar design is far more effective than just a constant cross-section throughout the wing span. The latter is very common due to its simplicity, but it usually turns out that the outboard section of the wings are over-engineered.

Don't narrow down your choices too much. You may end up not building your favourite plane at all, just because of some unavailable materials. Use a lot of your imaginations.
