I just bought a TT Mr Mulligan from a fellow bro, this is a 3 channel plane and i hope to make it into a 4 channel plane by adding ailerons. Can any bros tell me how to add ailerons? And also the motor given is a brushed motor and i hope to change it with an outrunner brushless motor, but i have no idea how can i install the outrunner brushless motor onto the motor mount, which houses only inrunner motor.

If this is your first few model, I suggest that you stick to the original setup and fly before hacking up the wings for modification. Unless this particular design is known for control deficiencies, I see not much point of adding ailerons.
If you want a plane with aileron controls, simply go for E-starter instead. It is not very wise for a novice to modify a model heavily while still learning to fly. This will lead to too many uncertainties and you and your instructor may not know exactly what's wrong if you lose your model during flight.

I suggest you go buy one, if you do not know how to modify the motor mount system. Do take note that the weight of your outrunner might be different from the original brushed motor/gearbox unit. You'll need to check the CG and rebalance it as necessary.
That aside, I strongly suggest you got someone to help, instead of venturing on your own, both on flying and assembling your plane.

Hey Shoyn
The Mr Mulligan comes with a gear brushed motor. The original geared motor fits nicely with very little clearance for the prop out of the cowling. It flies very well with the geared motor. However, if you want to use a brushless motor, you have add spacers between the motor and the firewall to maintain the clearance. This can be in the form of a wooden block/s or a constructed box or tubular spacers. As far as ailerons are concerned, it is unnecesary cos the wings have quite substantial dihedral. This model is designed to fly slow with its fully undercambered wings. So as Joe mentioned, there are too many things to mod and meddle with. I don't know your flying experience but you don't always have to overpower your models. Fly them as they were designed to fly. It is a DGA. Do you know what that means,?
It is a Damn Good Airplane...flying slow and low. Hey Joe? Have you got a spare buttercup lying around....I want one...Saw Julian's...my keyboard is wet with drool already.Go back in one piece to fly another day.

Thanks for the advice, i have already assembled the Mr Mulligan plane. But i still dont how am i supposed to mount the brushless motor onto the plane. I have decided to not use the given motor mount and i think i may go with plug&fly idea of using wooden block as a spacer and also as a motor mount. Regarding about the ailerons, i do not really know how to fly with rudders cos i have been using ailerons to control the plane. Guess its time to head back to RC flight sim again.Anyway, do you know where i can fly this plane. I live in hougang area and i am currently still a novice.

Rudder control is so fundamantal that many people totally forgot about it after being introduced to use ailerons these days. Just imagine when you toss your 50cent foam chuck glider, what would you do if the plane flies to one side? You would trim the rudder to the opposite direction, right?
A model, given with sufficient dihedral, any rudder control input will initiate a yaw induced roll. Just plug the rudder servo into the aileron channel and the model will fly just as the same with ailerons. Don't bother to mess around with mode 3 or 4. As long as the plane behaves the same, it doesn't matter whether you are using rudder or ailerons to turn.
