    Good double-sided tape?

Need some advise on where to find good quality (i.e. sticky! long-lasting!) double-sided tape for sticking servos, ESC, etc. on flat compressed foam surfaces...

Manufacturer and brand name will be helpful for me to pin-point the correct type of tape to buy, thank you!

I had tried one variety of 3M double-sided (grey colour) which was quite expensive for tape, but didn't stick well Maybe wrong application...

Surprisingly I also tried some little squares of double-sided tape that came with E-Sky Honeybee that worked very well! But already ran out of these, and I think not commercially available in large quantities.

Anyway appreciate some advise on what to buy.

Any DIY shop will sell a varieties.

To mount objects on rough surfaces such as foams or wall, you need the stickies to be foam backed.

To mount on flat smooth surface, normal stickies with no foams are fine.

My wife pass me a roll ( from her workplace ) of OYAMA #1205 transparent D/S tape ( no foam backing ) and it is really very sticky.

The part description says it all :

    OYAMA #1205 Transparent Very Strong D/S Tape - 24mm X 45m

Comes in a red roll with white plastic ring holder.. ermm dunno what that is called, but you get what I mean, after you use up the tapes, left the ring, that is a white plastic ring..

Thank u... thanks all for the useful info, and I now know for sure a couple of brands of tape that work! Yes, 3M tape is pricey which is why it was quite a costly mistake for me to get the "grey" foamy double-sided that didn't stick so well

3 types of double sided tape from 3M works.

                1. The grey rubbery tape with the red peel off. If this doesn't stick, you will probably need to use epoxy.

                2. White foam tape with white and green checkered peel off. Good for gyro, rx and electronics. Might not stick that well on balsa.

                3. The transparent clear rubbery tape.

All available at popular, homefix etc.

Do note that some foams, especially the painted ones needs to have the painted layer removed before your tape will stick well, otherwise your tape will just be sticking on to the powder flakes of the foam/paint.
