for me, it is also my first time flying a brushed motor setup and on water... glad that it works so far, enjoy the scale-flying, take off, landing and of course being close to nature...quiet and peaceful, the sound effect created by the brushed with gear-reduction motors is very nice...

Perhaps with my attempts, some or more will follow....

very nice videos! but i get to see the actual performance today and thanks for the explantions too. if uncle leng and daren setup their PBY-5A total there there will be 3 floating/flying at that location. cheers

just to share another flying experience here....a negative one.

Yesterday evening, I was beside some guys fishing with their rods....due to my carelessness, one of the props caught one of the lines...unintentionally cut his line, he was absolutely unhappy...I was apologetic, but still he went off remained angry with me. I could only learned from my mistake and move on.

Thankfully, no one was hurt, and the plane did not take off, otherwise surely would have crashed.

With the fishing line caught onto the gear-reduction, I could only hope for it to drift back to my side after failed attempt to taxi, which indeed it happened and have my plane back in 1 piece..

Also thankful to have you guys like Darren, Derek, etc with me....
