    Help me...

Hi i am abt 6months in to rc plane and still using brush motor and Ni-MH batt. I wan to get some advice on wether can brush motor and brush ESC use Li-Po to power? My plane is a Cessna(Can be bought at JetHobby) so if so, can tell me the batt cell and voltage?

Nothing beats the real thing. Go outdoors and get the plane airborne. But first, it is highly advisable to get someone trustworthy to check through and maiden the plane for you.

did you do some ground tests?

my first maiden also end up with a tree too. Except it didn't come down.

Note to self: Must stop buying too much stuff.

erm , you can try changing to a brushless motor and ESC from rtr at lavender , ask for 1120kv + 20A esc . that combo is good ... it'll cost just under 50. Then use a 11.1V 3cell 1200/1300Mah ( can be bought at HC , about 10USD per Lipo ) for flying , should last 10-15 minutes in the sky depending on your throttle play...

For brush motors , i think you can try 7.4V 800-900mAh 2cell lipos , but then again , please do check the esc , check that it can handle such a voltage ... and whether the brushmotor can take 2cell ... im NOT familiar with brush motors so if you dont trust me then however i do recommend the brushless setup above ... used it for Estarter and it flew GREAT!

Yup i checked alot of times already. Now is going to change the batt. Can Li-Po be used for brush motor and ESC?

                Thx Nicholas!

I will go down there. Can the 11.1v Li-Po use a Imax Compact Charger 2S/3S AC for the lipo? Can be bought at Jet Hobby for S$35.

My first plane uses 2S Lipo to power my brush esc and motor. It will work fine. But I was recommended to get a Lipo protector because the brush esc didn't have auto protection for lipo when the voltage drops below dangerous level.

Lipos cannot be drained below certain voltage. The lipo protector help cut trottle power when the lipo depletes. But still allow you to power the servos to land. ( during this time, the trottle can be restarted but on low rpm only )
