hi.
This is the same only yours is alloy ( see pic)
Cut the original stick off ( or pull it out if you can) Then get some 4 ( or 5) mm ply and epoxy it to the bulk head. The screw your adapter to the ply wood. Remember to cut a large hole in the ply ( away from where the screws go of course) to allow for motor cooling airflow.
Cheers

Depends ...are you using dedicated flaps ( ie control surfaces that act as flaps and only as flaps) or do you use flaperons ( where the aileron acts as a flap during landing.
If the first case is correct ( dedicated flaps) then it's best to experiment for your self as this can be dependant on flying style . Too much and you stand a chance of stalling when coming in to land. Too little has no effect ...so start small amount and work your way up.
If you are using flaperons then you need to allways allow for some aileron movement ( as well as flap) Remember the slower you fly, the more movement your control surfaces need to effect the plane movement you require
Oh and if you're really stuck for plywood here's an old trick. Get some wooden loli pop sticks . lay a row of them together ...say 5 or 6. then lay a row ( layer) on top but at 90 degrees to the first layer.
GLue them all together with epoxy and put the sandwhich in kitchen cling film then put some weight on it ( bricks ...big pile of books etc ) and leave it while the epoxy goes hard. Remove the cling film ( sand paper it off if it's got stuck ) and your done. This will make a bulk head support material for your formosa
Good luck

I also recommend tongue depressors from Guardian pharmacy, very useful in reinforcements. Tongue depressors are like giant ice cream sticks.
Jiez; pls check manual or rcgroups for flaps. Basically, flaperons mean both ailerons point down when you toggle the switch. You start small and work your way up. Flaps increase your lift and slow your plane down for landing."Always fly with a responsible attitude. You may think that flying low over other people’s heads is proof of your piloting skill; others know better. The real expert does not need to prove himself in such childish ways..." - the Multiplex Build Manual

ya, flaps will also make ur plane dive down, so u need to use ur elevator to counter it. U have to trial & error n see which combination is the best for ur flyingOriginally posted by Sunstorm View Post

I think im using flaperons. No wonder in my dx6i menu for flaps, they showed adjustments for elevator and ailerons.looks like i will set just 50% flaps and 0% elevator to see how it performsPlane 1:

try to set the elevator higher than 0%, if not ur plane will go for the dive when u switch it to the flap modeOriginally posted by JieZ View PostI think im using flaperons. No wonder in my dx6i menu for flaps, they showed adjustments for elevator and ailerons.looks like i will set just 50% flaps and 0% elevator to see how it performs
