Measure speed without radar gun article, here's how.

Another article on how to measure speed of your plane without a radar gun. All you need is to record the sound of a flyby and feed into your PC. Use this program to analyse.

Screamo is flying at 103 km/h

Set filter to higher reso, got a sharper curve, speed is about 146 km/h...

Cool....using doppler effect to take the readings......another way of measuring groundspeed is to install a small GPS unit with data logger....or just mount a handheld GPS...heheheh..

Yap, tried already, quite a powerful translator but didn't have the time to translate para by para, decided to jus play with the software...thanks anyway.

Nice plane Stuka, I wanted to keep a few copies of audio clip for reference and thought this 147km/h clip would be a good addition, have you got a better bitrate of the video or sound? I can't seem to get a clear graph from it.

I know 1 way of testing it out! all of you have been getting readings of above 100km/h. why not try testing the slow stick? if the slow stick also gets readings of above 100km/h , there is something wrong. we all know SSs fly at around 30km/h so we may be able to determine the rough accuracy like that.

                              Get off this thread!

You have no idea what you are talking about here boy.... This thread is started to measure speed and show how to do it... not debate about its accuracy and yet you persisted with 2 post. If you want to do that, start your own bloody thread and not hijack mine here. Don't be a fool to compare a SS to a screamo or Stuka's nitro powered... Have you even seen screamo fly?!?! only fools would think of comparing SS to screamo in terms of speed....

Now just please get off this F$#@%king thread and stop replying.
