Some advice on low winged Balsa planes

    Good day,
It has been a long lost dream to fly a low wing.
Mentor was what got me started, further inspired by Tucano.
My type of flying more to the slow and easy flying in a graceful circuit.
Which low winged balsa would you recommend? I'm thinking of going 3s1000mAh lipos for a light setup.
    Pls recommend
    - Site I can order kit from, preferably HK or TW sites.
    - Type of servo to use on it.
    - Recommended brushless motor.
    - Recommended brush motor and lipo.

    Thanks

Found these that I am interested in.
Lancair (Inspired by Joe Yap's DIY)
    PC-9
    Tucano (Inspired by ChekGu's)

Which of these is suitable for me? For slow graceful flying that doesnt give my tx vibrations.

Oh, good to see HDB flying plane again .

Balsa T34 Mentor (not sure if JH still selling it) looks good to me.

That you never DIY? Hmmm ....
          Anyway any comments on Lancair?

Yes it looks cool but I want to fly something smaller that runs on 1000-1300mAh though 1000mAh would be better.

Rotor should have some good ones from Thunder Tiger. Quite good and to scale.

It is quite okay if you keep it light. I programmed flaperon function to soften the landings, since it has fullspan ailerons. But I find it a little too small.

Was it floaty like a mid wing? Just worried low wings too hot for me.

Not as floaty as I would like for first low winger. The wings are pretty small anyway.

For this you would be looking at something around the size of about 300-400grams. That would be in the class of many of the GWS warbird or as we mentioned earlier the EP Vision from Jet. It is a pattern plane, relatively stable and light. AND...it is BALSA!
Go back in one piece to fly another day.
                        Having fun yet?
                        36.39mhz
                        40.77mhz

Thanks chekgu. Spoiled by so many choices. Still considering Tucano, but will wait abit as someone might have a Mentor ARF balsa

Just to remind you the tucano in question does not have any landing gears but you can easily modify it to include one. The full-scale has a tricycle set of land gears, I think.
Go back in one piece to fly another day.

                              Thanks for the headsup!
I'll fix up the Mentor first and fly it. Need to read up the manual first. No experience in fixing balsa planes
Below are the specs. Kit is a gift from Edmond who got it from Joe

                              Wing Span 880mm
                              Fuselage 736mm
                              Flying weight 450g-540g

I'll be running a 980Kv motor. Any prop size to recommend? I won't be fixing wheels. Intend to use APC.
