No hard feelings bro. just joking2 only. IMO, if u follow the specs and recommended electronics, i think u should be able to do scale fly with this bird too. For foamy, try to keep it as light as possible. Anyone with any inputs?

I am using a

KDA2215M outrunner

33 AMP Pulso ESC

Dualsky 2200 mAh 11.1v (55A Cont) [xp22003GT]

Got it during their last combo set promo.

The current Dualsky ESC 25A + Dualsky XM2830-12 (950kv) For S$ 69 dollars is a good combo for the P40 too

Just get the recommended specs bro. The ones they are recommending is from GWS, I had good experience with them this far.

My (..well not mine, but according to the experts) rule of thumb:-

1. Floaters eg. GWS beaver, GWS pico tigermoth: 50W per lb AUW
2. Aileron trainers/simple aerobatic: 75W-100W per lb
3. Strong aerobatic/pattern: 100W-150W per lb
4. 3D/rocketship: 150W-200W per lb

For your P-40 it should lie between 2 and 3.
Any outrunner drawing about 18A-20A on 3S with right prop (large prop for killer warbird look ) should do the trick for scale flying.
