Cozy Mark IV Foam Pusher-Prop Plane Build

A little peek into the simple mod i did, 1st pic shows the new 2 aileron servos i installed, they are 4 grammes Blue Arrow servos producing 0.7kg/cm torque, available from Mack/George. Best thing, they deliver to your door step!
Want to show in pictures just how the elevator-to-flap mixing does for the Cozy.

2nd pic is with full up elevator stick on the transmitter, noticed the 2 aileron servos also goes up

3rd pic is transmitter aileron stick turning left, simulating a left banking turn, the 2 aileron servos will move like a conventional setup, perfect for the Cozy setup, if you can remember seeing in the video, when i was about to land the Cozy, when i chop power below half stick, it just nose-dived and hit and grass pretty hard, Ouch! It flew well above half throttle during it's firs maiden flight, i must say the r/c canards did not give enough lift below half throttle, above half throttle it flew ok.

4th pic, i added new canards, they are now 10mm longer, 4mm wider chordwise and thinner at 10mm on each canard.

Now with this mod, the Cozy flew fine with a lot of pitch authority at low to full throttle range Phew!

After this mod, just need a few more flying sessions before i start to air-brush her

Har? Sell this Cozy??? No lah! ...mmm... maybe not yet, still having so much fun out of it, i will definitely airbrush it in a couple of weeks time, then see how, but haven't entertained that thought yet. Will be busy with work soon, may not be able to have so much time to build

I'll be doing the whole plane white as the real one, maybe the belly is yellow or something, it would be simple, this Cozy looks just right with white overall!

The painted window really make a real diff to how the plane looks so what next landing gear if not miss taken it has a tri landing gear with the front retractable right

Yes, the Cozy does have tricycle landing gears, but since i fly and land on grass, can't put landing gear It would look even more scale with landing gear,mmmmm maybe can do those gws retracts then can fly off grass and deploy retracts if there's a runway to land Alamak, should have thought of that from the beginning, haizzz!

Do you know when the real cozies ROG off the runway, and since the front wheel is a free-steering castor wheel, they use differential braking on the 2 main wheels to steer the plane as it speeds down the runway during take-off! the differential brakes are linked to the twin wingtip rudders, cool design! i also read that canard planes are more tolerant when it's penetrating turbulent air, and also more stall resistant as compared to normal plane designs, this cozy is just one of the off-shoots from Burt Rhutan's original Vari-EZ, Long-EZ, Voyager, aiyoh i also don't know how many canards planes have evolved from his original canard design, the latest privately-funded rocket project that was capable of carrying 2 paying passengers into space and back, what was the name of that rocket ship, something "SpaceSHipONE" and you see that mother ship called "White Knight", it's soo beautiful! and also the Starship canard, it's soo beautiful too!
