You have a self made biplane! Well done!

Should you add landing gears to it?

First you should consider whether you got a regular runway to take off from and land?

If no runway, then landing gear is not very useful. It also adds extra weight.

you can wrap the big scotch tape on the bottom wing so that the foam won't tear.

That way, if you land properly, stones and other small weeds will not bother your biplane.

Put lah, u'll likely to break a prop or snap off the bottom wing. Don't forget to reinforce the landing gear and also stick a small piece of wood or wire at the tail end of your fuse to protect your rudder. 3D no need runaway what, harrier to land lah. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck, progressing from SS to a 3D not easy
I suggest you get a TX with exponential and EPA if not you be heading for a crash. Buy epoxy and standby, i had fair share of crash flying planes after i learn how to fly the SS properly.

                Hi JieZ,

it depends how you like to land your bipe plane.

you can use hot melt glue gun to secure your landing gear this way:

                also,
check out my bipe with landing gear

Got photo or not? (of the bi plane)

That time you build an f-22, how is it now?

                            Hi JieZ & Clement,

                            your biplane(Clement's) looked good!

Suggestion, put some color decal on the top wing, and black stripe bottom wing, will help U identify which is which, especially when everything is white in the sky.

if this is the first time you fly a bipe, the response would be different from single-wing planes, where after applying ailerons, the elevator seems no response...panic siah...when I first flew a bipe....everyone on the field thought I can hover so well....keke...

To turn the biplane, you may need add rudder input, after Ailerons + elevator.....(depending on plane to plane)...

be sure to maiden it higher.....and make it bit nose heavy will help you control the plane better....

Cheers! & all the best to your maidens....ask someone take more photos for you guys..it helps...

BTW, I used a long 4mm carbon rod reinforce entire length of fuselarge,
and epoxied the 10x10mm motor mount onto this carbon rod.
Any front knocks on the ground, the nose of the fuselarge will transfer this impact to the carbon, otherwise, depending on the compressed foam alone will be very weak.

So JieZ, in case you still got chance...use hotmelt glu gun...stick a carbon rod at least 4mm to the fuselarge will ya.....just my opinion....(see pics)
