one of us tried it with 16/15/4 on 4s and it is very fast. but launching can be tricky as the bird is heavy and may torque roll. I also tried on microdan-speed on 4s but performance is so so, so on my microdan I still stick with 3s on APC 6x4 and it is "unlimited" vertical (sound familiar?) until I cannot see the bird hehe.

By the way, just asking a noobish question; what's the difference between getting a dedicated 4s battery and 2 x 2s battery in series? 4s battery is really a tad expensive. If they can both pump out e.g. 20 c of a 1mah battery I should be getting 40 amps right?
p.s I tried getting vertical on my Mugi ducted fan. Cannot. So it's should be called limited diagonal.

Damn... all this talk of Funjet. I need to get another one....
Yeah anyways, I've seen KP's MicroDan'ed FunJet on both 3S and 4S. It does seem to perform better on the 3S. In my humblest opinion, I think the FunJet performs the best when built light.

Electric things run on smoke. Let the smoke out and they won't work.
we use 75A so esc not an issue. yeah hawkeye is correct, I forgot to add that when running mega 4t keep the apc prop down to max 5x5 for longer longevity of your motor. we did try 5.25x 6.25 with throttle management. best is to get a wattmeter to measure the static draw. in rcgroups there are some insane ppl running megat 4t on 4s on apc 6x4 and got one running 8s on mega 4t
a 4s or 2x 2s packs are the same except 2x 2s pack it will be heavier due to extra wires and extra battery connectors but the good thing is that instead of a brick 4s you can lay the 2x2s in any layout you want.
it's been some time since I flew my funjet, maybe we can have a funjet meetup and see who can achieve unlimited vertical and fly to the moon
