        Try using hot glue, though its heavy, it will not be be that critical since your plane is big.

        It create extremly strong joints between foam, n also between foam n wood. Especially after joining 2 parts at right angle to each other, running the hot glue gun tip to re-melt the cured glue along the joint line will let the glue flow to any gap inside and also melt abit of the foam and fuse together with the glue to create an extremly strong and stiff joint. Its like adding bone to the bone-less foam body.

        However forget about hot glue should you desire a perfect look and finish on your plane.
