I started the build and it was so quick that there wasn't much time to take pictures.

Woo.....that's a nice plane. Would really like to see the maiden.

Wonder if there is any ARF kit?

Not that I know of. If you find one please let me know. It would be much quicker to build ARF's

            Hey Mechplas,

Long time no see. Do keep us updated with your quickie (whatever that means kekekeke)

I have not seen this plane fly locally yet, would be interesting to find out how it handles.
Stop looking for a gyro in my plane, they are all in the head.

Yup, it has been awhile. I will try to update when the build progresses. But looking at my current situation,... it has been 5 wing ribs since 2 weeks ago.

The manual is really old school... all wordy and no graphic illustration. That's why my build is slow.

Took one day to arrange and count all the parts according to the parts list.

Not all the printed part on the balsa can snap out nice, had to do a lot of cutting to get them out.

Nothing compared to OK Models, you shake only all drop out nice and clean.

As promised. one rib a day. 5 days to fininsh this section.

Although this is the last part, I started with the mid section of the rear wing. The mid section will hold the aileron servo and the torque rods. I am thinking, should I use the torque rod or mod it to hold two servos on the wing half so that can do 3D.

Nice kit, Rajoo. If you want to use dual aileron servos, you have to cut access holes on the ribs by now, for the aileron servo leads.

Brudder, there's this thing call laser u know.

I am planning to use two servos in the mid section and the torque rod so that I can do flaps or spoiler. This is also to go budget on the servos, 3kg torque on each aileron.

I found another alternative to white glue.

Max Bond. It holds well and have little run-out tendencies compared to white glue. I use this a lot in the building construction and its really easy to work with. It can be sanded.

Apply beads on area to be glued. Put the parts together then immediately separate the parts and wait 5mins. Then put them back together. Use clamps to hold them firm. After half and hour its solid already.

Brudder, laser cut kits are only available since the last 10 years. Remember back in the earlier days when all kits are die-cut?

Anyway, PVA is fuel-proof if the exhaust slime find its way into the wood. I'm not sure whether Max bond is though.

Very nice plane BTW, still one of my favourites.

Thanks for the tip. I'll test it.

Or, unless I glass the fuse and the wings after the sheeting stage.

Just curious, have you built this before?
