I hope to get the plane to balance out well at a flying weight of 850 grams...that way the takeofs wont be so hairy...

Actually, these are F5D birds...they are "normal" size. the smaller ones are the speed 400....bloody fast...cannot see....

Anyway, I managed to maiden the bird this evening....there is something about the way she turns....

Landing was hairy as usual as the wing seperated from the fuse...thank god for 3M crystal clear tape....damaged some servo wires at the wing root.

its all repaired and ready to go again...

CG for VIP racer

Can anyone tell me what is the optimum CG location for the VIP racer. I took mine out for its maiden flight after storing it for the past 3 years and scared the heck out of me. Just managed to get it back on the ground with minimal damage. Thanks

check with Fuse....he has one...

But I do recall the flying it once and as long you got a mega 3 or mega 4 up front and the tp 3s 2200 battery butt all the way up front jus behind the motor should be fine.

SHe is really easy to fly.....but damn hard to land..
