    Pre-purchase advice needed

    Hi all,

i haven't been flying for almost more than a year now and i am looking at getting a new plane to start up again. Used to fly a Slowstick and a zero, both from GWS.

I am considering a wingdragon sportster or the phoenix 2000, both at the about the same price from jethobby. The phoenix is cool as it is something like a transformer and can suit my mood as and when. The only not so good part is that i haven't really seen anyone flying it or reviews about it.

The wingdragon is more tested and proven platform though it can't do the transformer thingy. I also like the pod and boom design as it is strong.

So what do you think i should get?

      Hi novalogix,
you may consider other planes besides the phoenix2000 or wingdragon,
such as eStarter, or built your own 3D plane bro....try this

If you can fly the Zero properly, i bet you can fly many other low-wing planes such as the Mustang S$49 from Jet Hobby.

        Hi all,

thanks for the response. I will go check out other models as well, esp the epp mustang. I like the fact that it can take more torment.

I would also like to find out more off the phoenix and wingdragon as i am also going to recommend my friends some beginner models.

I am not really keen on getting a tractor plane for beginner as they break props often.

        Thanks

I happened to have the EPP Mustang from Jet hobby... not bad but u have to plan the battery placement to the fullest front before glueing the fuseluge together... I cut the foam to suit my EVO 1800mah 3s Lipo for this purpose... It flies well
