A-10 "maiden" flight

Took my A-10 out for a flight today, flew ok, did some trimmings, flew figure 8s.. everything was ok and fine...

then came the landing... came in level, close some throttle, the bird came gliding in, then upon hitting the ground, the wings pop off, and the fuse cracked.. upon inspection, the crack was from old repair lines..

lucky i got some foam CA. now waiting for it to dry..

think this is not for me .. i got it for my bro who in the end doesnt want it... think i will sell it off to get the ES or a warbird.

Hey mate,

dun let it get to you so soon, dun give up on that bird yet. Get another warbird and add to your hangar man but keep this still. Hope you see more fun in your A 10 soon.

anyone know if there is a way that i can use my 3S 1800mah lipos on this plane?

using a 3s will probaly kill ur motor faster like i have done in the past, bout less then 10 flights will need to change one

if u wanna go 3S u gotta use a 400 motor with a better ESc..
The gws 480 esc will get hot also after awhile but usuable..
Coz it's max V rating is abt 9.6v, 3s are rated at 11.1v..

Used a 3s with 400 n ics480 on my slow stick..
motor got very hot to touch after a few mins flights!
at it was not even WOT all the way, at most 1/2 to 3/4 throttle..

Took it up for a 2nd flight this morning, i'd say its a very good scale flyer but i think it lacks some power.. i tried to loop it and almost crashed it. it cant do rolls either.. will stick to scale flying for this bird..

thinking of GWS WW2 fighter as my 2nd bird. hehe what should i get?

my A-10 left engine died in flight this morning..

anybody knows how to change it without destroying the nacelles??
