My new love: Ritewing TL50 120-130mph wing

I bought myself a Christmas present early this year and build it slowly and carefully for a new personal speed demon keke. For those who like flying wing and speed, check out Ritewing Speed Demon or the TL40 and TL50. All of them can go in excess of 120mph to even 150mph easily with full authority in the air.

Here's some spec, inflight data and some pics/videos.

    Spec:
Medusa 28-40-2500 motor with 6x4 APC sports prop
Medusa Opto Isolator with Medusa BEC & 150 mah 2s1p lipo
    Jeti Spin 66 esc
    RC Poly 4350 4s1p
    AUW - 45oz est
    Wingspan - 50 inch

From the Jeti box, I am able to get the following data. This was after implementing some air cooling vents for the esc.

Max Temp: 101 deg celsius 2:29s
    Min Temp: 30 deg celsius
    Actual Temp: 25 deg celsius

    Max Amp: 89.4/ 15.04v 0:03s
    Min Amp: 61.8/ 14.19v 02:06s

    Max Volt: 17.21v
    Min Volt: 13.96v 02:27
    Actual volt: 17.24v

    Motor Run time: 02:42s
    On time: 03:45s

    Motor RPM: 31240 00:20s
    Prop RPM: 31240 00:20s

Hi Bro, where can i get the medusa motor and medusa esc and how much is it? Can i use it without the Medusa Opto Isolator with Medusa BEC?

Try Dynamo electrics or BMKdesign website. I ordered it overseas. The ESC is Jeti Spin 66 not Medusa. Depending on your application, you may not need BEC and opto isolator. I opt for it to be on the safe side to prevent glitches and dedicate a batt to controls. If you are going fast, go the safer route with opto and bec, dun be like the many who goes really fast and crash and complain glitch or component issue. esp for 4s and above applications.

                  Hi xxJimbozxx,
I used a Canon 350D with a 300range Zoom lens (set to speed shuttle mode).

In fact, to tell you honestly, I was very nervous as the flying demon approaches, cos looking through the lens and hearing the sound...you practically can "freak-out"....

have to use both eyes to aim, left eye looking at plane, right eye into the viewfinder..shuttle button half pressed for constent focus.
just when the plane is near and centred on screen, capture the shot!

Come-on down to Punggol field walk this Sat if you are avail.

                  C U bro!
