When u mentioned cheapest category, I suppose u mean the least money to get an aeroplane up in air.

I suggest one of those GWS foamy .... be it slow stick, J3 or tiger moth.

A lot depending on budget b4 we can advise the radio system etc.

        Cheers

        Mike

Pips advising on what airplanes to use for beginners?

U should have seen all those e-starters used by the YFC students for indoor flying! Many YFC students hitting the perimeter of the hall after taking off! And you could see those e-starters trying to fly indoors! What a sorry sight!!

I guessed that there are a lot of disappointed students too!

                    Exactly, for indoors!!!

                    I have seen them all.

A mediocre r/c pilot who thinks that he is one top gun.

A nerd looking and sick flyer who thinks that he is a great modeller.

Greed that made a friend became a competitor.

                      Just my personal comment:

Forget what type of altitute she( Or them have), I think the motorshop is selling the WING DRAGON RTF set for SGD140, include a reusable FM radio, a 4 channels receiver, 50A Esc and 2 servos, also an indestructable body. Very good for beginner, but remember, just go there and tell them you want one set, test on the spot and leave the shop, don't ask too much, you guys know what will happen for asking too much...

                      Cheers!

IMHO, I choose to diff bcos its from "Champion" I really don wish my $140 last me only 1 flight when some electronic fail and there is no way out for an exchange or refund.

                        My take is :-

Slow stick & a decent radio be it used or new.

If you want wing dragon.. go Jet Hobby to buy... slightly more expenisve than Champion... but you can rest assure the parts that came with the kit were not swap out with some cheapo parts.... (one particular LHS is known to do this..... )

For me, I would recommend the IFO as it's very crashable...Just a personal pref.
