    Spitfire mark II

    Hi

My 3rd RC Spitfire. Took 4 months to build. This Spitfire has being flying for about 6 months now and have completed over 60 flights. Stats are:

    Wingspan 40 inches
    Weight 25 oz
    Motor Flipmaster 3610 outrunner brushless
    Batteries 8 Ancient Kans 1050
    ESC Apache 30 Amp
    Prop 10 X 7 APC
Kit None. Scratch build based upon a 36" 1/2A Marutaka.
Heavily modified to save weight and better scale.
    Materials; Balsa, Spruce & Ply

Flies very well. Very easy. No vices. Does prettiest tail up in air take offs and landings. Rolls are barrelly. Speed is abouut 45km per hour which is about
    scale.

Flyable with a 2812 (not AXI size) but motor runs hot.

My thanks to Stephen (SUXBUX) who bought the motors and ESC for me. Allan for the photograph and Jeff for the balsa and kind words

      Hi Joe

The problem is that it is quite often mistaken for a GWS! LOL

Which is why I am now making a Hurricane
