How to fix fuel soaked wood?

    Hi there,

Is there anyway to remove the oil/fuel from the fuse of the plane? I had a leak in the fuel tank and now, the front end of the fuse is soaked in fuel.
Can the epoxy adhere well to the area? Was thinking of glassing it...

Wipe the area with denatured alcohol, give a coat of Solarfilm Clearcoat lacquer to seal it. At the same time, it also allows films to be stuck on. Balsarite will also do the job.

I have used talcum powder to soak up as much of the oil as possible. Then clean the rest off with alcohol.
