Hi Jephry,
I got one some time ago. I did some mods to make it look like the F5 with "twin" nozzles, cannons on the nose, missle rails on the wing tips and a cockpit with pilot, seat and head-up display. I am installing retracts now and a lot of modification needed to be done on the wings to accomodate it. Will post some pics of it soon.
It flys a lot like a pattern ship. Fast and arrow like. Loops are big and it "drops the tail" on the turn like the real F5. Landing is a little hot and it takes a long time to bleed off speed until the nose comes up where it slows down fairly quickly so landings need to be planned. It surprisingly does a wonderful knife edge because of its long fuse and good rudder area.
The kit I got was an ARC and I took my time covering it. Its a good fun plane to fly but I stress that it is fast and is not for a beginner.
Cheers!
When you going to fly yours? Looking forward to see you picture, Jep want to get one not? Then we can do some scale flying, low pass, dog fight next week go and get?
The bird was purchased in 2001 and has had some air time with fixed undercarrage. One nice feature of this plane is that ALL linkages are internal. No ugly control horns and pushrods to be seen. The colour is black, silver and red
Running an OS50fx on a 11/6 prop. after the mods, she will be a little heavier with the addition of 2 retract servos and 3 machanical retracts. May need more power so will ask (my good bestest best friend) CURARE to lend me his os91
Then it will be a screamer!!!!!!

That is a nice looking bird. Where did you get it from?
You not going to get any more engines from me bubba, you already have 2 engines of mine and my retract servo. Any way even with the slight weight increase it should not be a problem for the 50FX to haul around, just get a 10.5 X 7 prop and it will still go like a bullet. I know because this is what I have now running my RV 4.
Dear mechplas,
I bought it from a fellow flyer many years ago who did not want to cover the kit. It was an almost ready to cover ARC kit from Model tech. Did some mods to make it look nicer. The stock version can be seen at the begining of this tread. Not for the faint hearted! Looks really cool in the air especially with the missle rails on.
