Before I started the hobby, always wondered how the glow ducted fan models worked. Even so, hardly saw any fly (hate to think what happens on a deadstick).
And lately, it's all the foamies in the market for the right reasons - weight and scale accuracy / details.
Even so, there are the composites - OK Models / V Pro at SHS.
Anyhow, has anyone been building balsa EDFs?
I know of the RBC kits in Holland (seen someone put an A-4 Skyhawk kit for sale a long while back)
Have an OK Models DJ-1 (built) and DJ-3 kit (unbuilt) but they're not EDF - might convert them some day.
And there are a few versions of simple EDF plans to build (RCM&E had one recently and Deedubya passed me a copy; and the Model Airplanes Trainer Jetfan or something like that).
What've you guys seen in the past 2 years? Share some pictures of the builds or even the old ARFs (Kyosho / HPI - bought an ARF A-7 Corsair II from Japan for a friend / etc)
