    TWM UniJet Questions

Was wondering if anyone has flown the UniJet made by TWM in SG?

Does it require a long smooth runway to take off or can it be hand launched? Does it have a good range of speed (e.g. can slow down to a decent pace for landings but can also go ballistic if full throttled)?

    Many thanks

If in doubt - add more horsepower!

You need about 20m of runway for ROG. The plane is for beginner to EDF. It won't go ballastic if you WOT. You can't land it with throttle cut too, as it will tip stall.

      Thanks for the info $h@d0w

Sounds like a good plane for my needs. I was afraid it would be too fast for the size of the Punggol grass fields and have to fly in the reclaimed land area (not good if I need to do emergency landings )

I was thinking of extending the wingspan by 15cm at the root on each wing panel to make it more newbie friendly, and remove the extensions once I get more comfortable with EDF flight characteristics (e.g. throttle response and landing speeds).

I'm drawn to this model because of its scale resemblance to the "Fantrainer" once made by the Germans as a training plane.
If in doubt - add more horsepower!

If you are referring to the runway at PFW, I think it's more than sufficient. Just remember to land with a bit power. Bear in mind she won't go ballastic on the stock fan and motor. To put in another motor or fan, you need to mod it.

                Go with the Hawk 1st

BTW PG field walk run way have side laid with trees now other than lamp post. So if newbie & trying to do a ROG EDF there, may not be a good ID

Good advice... PFW requires a precision take off and landing approach

Go for the Hawk. It is quite a floater. Thou a few simple mod will make it better. But a good starter EDF will be the Interceptor or King Cat alike. Thou can be made to fly fast & good floater as well.
