EDF F16 Falcon II Build

This is the smaller foamy EDF F16 Falcon II compare to this . The specs of the Falcon II are as follows:

Elevators

A slot has already been cut on the elevators, with a channel for the torque rod. After epoxying the rod, a sheet of balsa is used to cover the slot, instead of the provided foam. Glassing was then done on both elevators. Noticed that the rods are prebent at an angle to provide an anhedral as in the real aircraft.

Vertical Fin

The fin is next glassed with 3/4oz cloth.

Wings

2 carbon rods are inserted into the wings, as to provide addition support during flight. 1 of the rods goes from 1 wing to the other wing through the fuselage.

Glassing wings and fuselage

The wings and fuselage are now glassed, with the bottom first.

Belly

The belly is glassed next.

Canopy

Canopy is glassed next.

Colour Scheme

The colour scheme used is still the same, RSAF Black Knights

1st, the elevators.

Next is the fin.

Wings

The wings are next. The bottom is covered 1st, then the top.

Canopy

The plastic clear canopy was sprayed black with white rear edge using Tamiya spray paint. The rest is ironed on.

Electronics

The servos are CA in next. The ball joints are included in the kit.

Fan

Lastly, the fan, belly and fin are epoxyed in.

Done

Finally, the finished plane. The smaller F16 is in the lower picture. It will be maidened this weekend. Hope I have better luck this weekend, compared to last weekend.

Nice build! just what i wanted to see did you use fiber glass for the fiber cloth or polycrylic minwax?
