Hi Frank, look what I just found on RC-Groups:

          Ed Waldrep:
First HET F-15 I know of with retracts, which isn't suprising considering the difficulty of installing them, it's a non scale location on the sides the wing root fairings below the wing....kind of like an F-14 or Mig 29.

Hi, I have a question. With twin edf installed (which I supposed they do not have counter rotating blades) won't the resulting torque make the plane roll to one side constantly?

                Hi Little Giant,

With the wide body and the weight and the plane, the effect of the torque roll will be minimised. Have a F-14, which is obviously lighter than the F-15, also twin DF, did not encounter any problem associated with torque.

                Cheers.

                Happy Flying.

Hmmm.... Are there edfs in the market that spin ccw?

How heavy is your F14? What's the thrust rating of the edfs in your F14?

As the rotor mass is very small plus the airflow is straightened by the Fan stators, torque rolling is virtually nonexistent on a EDF jet.

In addition the airflow from the fans does not hit any of the flying surfaces of a jet - which causes much of the roll and yaw effects on prop planes.
