    Building the F-104 Starfighter

    My latest project



    Some info on the ARF model (taken from RC-Warbirds @ www.rc-warbirds.com):

    Product Information:
    The HET-RC F-104 Starfighter is a high performance Jet for EDF units such as the WeMoTec Mini Fan 480 or the HET-RC 6904 and powerful brushless motors such as the HET-RC Typhoon 2W, 3W or 2W-20 EDF. The ARF kit features a beautifully pre-painted fiberglass fuselage with balsa sheeted and oracover covered foam wings. The high pre-fabrication grade of the model allows for the first sorties in no time.

    Pack contents:
    Assembly instructions in English, fiberglass fuselage, balsa sheeted foam core wings, tail plane and fin, canopy, small items, linkage hardware pack including nylon control horns, EDF Fan optional available (see below).

    RC functions:
    - Elevator
    - Ailerons
    - Throttle

    Specifications:
    Wing Span.....................: 670mm/26.3 in
    Weight...........................: 1100-1400g/38.8 oz - 49.3 oz
    Length...........................: 1160mm/45.6 in
    Recommended Fan.........: WeMoTec Mini Fan 480 or HET-RC 6904
    Recommended Motor......: HET-RC Typhoon 2W, 3W or 2W-20
    Radio.............................: RX with 3 channels, 3 servos, 1 ESC

    A very easy and quick to build plane as you can see from my picures

    - HET6904 Fan
    - Typhoon 2W-20 700 Watt BL Motor
    - Tsunami 60 ESC
    - UBEC
    - 1x FlightPower EVO20 3300 4S pack
    - 3x Hitec HS-81MG Servos

            Decals applied and ready for maiden
            Building time ~3 evenings (waiting for the epoxy and paint to dry took the longest).

                          I have seen this fly personally at PFW before, was flying with Warbird himself then both having fun on the Starfighter and Tigershark. PM him, he can help you from there.
