I wanted actually do a smaller version of F15 - 70% of your plane size. And I had downloaded the plans. You still the one that fast act on. I am searching for certain materials e.g. decal and correct grey paint. I was thinking to start building it but me work pull me down (self employed alot of BSBH).
About the air brakes.. due to the Mess of the plane weight and the speed when landed on ground. The air brakes will not help much, upper flap air distortation will not be efficient base on total area of flap brake area verses total mess. The real plane F15 uses a reverse ducted to generate a reverse trust plus a parachut.
ER 69 ..Still build the upper braking flap than with one of these i)wheel with brakes, ii)with a arrester hooks (brakes mod), iii)parachute (on one use tat yet so far for EDF), iv)arrester net, v)reverse the trust on ducted fan by sw just a burst with a micro sw ,vii)rat glue landing pads (jacky chan movies) .

        Hi Zennith,
I wanted to fix the Airbake pannel coz I wan to make this Jet to look more scale and not really to use it to slow down when landing..
Hey, for the parachute, i had seen someone in U.S installed that on his Turbine Jet, Down here, so far i havent seen one using it, or perhaps there is..
Yo. Go ahead and bulid the 70 % F15 man, Using DF?
So far, I have not seen anyone fly a DF F15 here.. Still waiting for Jameswilliam to maiden his...Hopefully will be anytime soon..

          Nose Job Done

          Nose Job.
To make the nose a little lighter, I decided to hollow out the inner 9 laminations.(Total of 14 Pcs)
I weighed the pieces I cut out to see how much weight was removed by doing this and I had saved 12g on the nose cone.

            Forward Fuselage Done

After I had shaped the cone more or less to its shape, I attached it to the fuse with epoxy and sand it down further ..
You guys should see the amount of foam dust that had left over from the sanding job

              Need Advice on Airbrake

I had been searching through the net, but cant really find it.
Had found some, but it not really detail on showing you how to do the control linkage for the airbrake in steps.

Anyone out there that had installed it b4, Pls advise .. Thanks.

If not I will have to figure it out myself and do some trial and error.

                Update

                A little progress..
I had managed to assemble the forward and Aft fuselage together and this is how it looks like at this moment..
I am planning to throw in 2 X 90mm DF instead of 64mm DF..

Guys any suggestion on the motor? I am planning to play with high Voltage ( 14.8V 4s4p1800mah (20c) and low Amp set up.. So wat motor do you guys think is suitable for this kind of set up?

                    Hi..

I am using Depron, Inorder to make it stronger and harder, u will need to glass it.
I think Depron is better coz it easier to cut and sand.

Help needed for 90mm Fan and airbrake pannel set up

                      Hey guys,

I had found some motors that might be suitable for the 90mm Fan ..
Its Mega 22/20 or 30.. and Hacker B50.
Anyone have a better recommendation on the motor to be used on those fans?

                      Regards the airbrake, any advice?

                      Thanks...

Power unit and servos to be installed

Here are some of the electronics that I am planning to install onto this Jet.

                            1. 2 X 90mm Wemotec
                            2. 2 X 80A ESC
                            3. 4 X Hitec 81
                            4. 1 X Hitec 55
                            5. 2 X 500 size brushless motors (Still searching)
                            6. 4 X 4s1p1800mah (20c) lipo

At the moment, I havent decided on using 1 or twin DF ..
Will see how it goes then..
Weight of this Jet will be around 2 ~2.5kg with all equipments in, so guys any suggestion on the power setting?

                              Micro air retracts

To save some weight, I had decided to use air retracts.
Attached is pic of the micro air retracts that i will be using and its suitable for plane weight from 2 to 3 kg..
This is my first time using air retacts, so is there any thing that i should take note of when installing them?

                                Canopy

I had shaped the canopy and will use it as a mould to make some clear canopies.
