hi everyone.

I hear this is the place to ask for quotes and places on metal machining and I was hoping someone can help me out here.


Need to machine a simple aluminium bar ( no need for high grade aluminium)





320mm long.

1 piece.

Do I have to get the aluminium by myself (since some shops can provide the material at extra cost) for those with cutting machines at home?

Hi, quite a long piece to cut. You may have to look at industrial estate for machine shop that have industrial milling machine to mill out the recess that length. Hobby user are limited by the size they are about to cut.

I think the services would be about $50 including material. May be more. You can try searching Yellowpages or Greenbook for machine shop.
