I see! Why not use a laser pointer instead? just fabricate a holder for it! haha!

hmm, i did thought about it, decided to go for industrial grade in the end.
Don't be fool by the dot in the photo/video, the dot its a lot more smaller
when the polarizer attachment (the black round piece with a len) is used,
and the laser is adjustable to calibration.

Non-Contact Tachometer (up to 99999 RPM)
it reads around 30rpm min and 2898rpm max on the sherline.
sherline spec is between 70 to 2800 RPM.
btw nothing is wrong with the 30rpm read, i "force" it to go slowest. <br> <br>

on the endmill printed as Kenwill, if not wrong, the company is Aken, taiwan.

the collets and chuck cost US$60 w/shippment
indexable endmill + cutters US$70 w/shippment
