CNC Milling progress update! G10 cutting

After some mods to the headblock, i've started into some G10 cutting! yes.. G10, the perfect substitute for Carbon fibre, a little heavier, but minus the glitch magnet properties.

Nice. Saw your site about the extra Y-axis travel with the headstock spacer. I had a problem with the limited travel too and had to reposition my parts every time. Thanks for sharing the solution.

BTW, what kind of material is the G10 & where can you get it?

I must say he is really fast in getting this thing out. Got the mill less than a week, now already successfully cutting out a nice fin

Hmm, g10 is a glass fibre composite. Get from swees engineering @ Veersamy road. Expensive stuff

Hey thanks. But behind every successful cut ... is lots of headache, planning and time spent... I believe you know this very well CNC is not just design, convert and cut ... It just seems too easy to be true.
