Fiberglass Vs Lexan?

Hi guys I'm interested in buying fiberglass or lexan board, does
anyone have any experience with any of these materials?

1. Which one is lighter?
2. Which one is stronger?
3. Which one is easier to cut?
4. Which one is more expensive?
5. Where can I buy?

btw i'm planning to cut out something like this using the material mentioned above.

It's about 80mmx20mm and the shaded portion cut out to fit two HS-81 servos. I tried making a sample with a 1.5mm acrylic usinga cutting disc but the disc(about 22mm diameter) seems to be too big for the job.

I only have a rotary tool to work on... what other methods or tools can i use? <br> <br>

with a cnc system is luxury, it will be able to cut easily.

I suppose hacksaw and file can also do the job

most importantly, wear a mask when cutting, the power generated will cause health problem when inhale.



the strongest is the carbon board from roto hobby or NTC. (expensive but solid)

this is the best.

however it is very hard.

you can also buy those circuit board board from sim lim tower. just ignore the copper and cut what you want. (cheap)

buy those without holes.
