Get the T15.It is a multipurpose charger that can do all battery types and can charge lipos up to 5cells at 5A as compared to 4cell and 2A for the T4LP which is a Lipo ONLY charger
Not forgetting...the t15 also has a discharge function and a nice LCD screen that you can read from
Well worth the extra if you ask me
    Don't PCW

are u planning to buy them?
actually i'm also thinking whether to buy TL-4 or T15 for sometime already hahaha...
T15 is really tempting but the price difference is about $60 (thats a lot for me cos i can get another lipo!)

besides charging lipo, T15 can also charge/discharge:
Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Lead Acid (TL-4 can't do that)... comes with backlit LCD display

TL-4 can charge up to 4cell lipo only (both are more than enough for your case... but they cannot discharge batt like T15 do)
but TL-4 can balance lipo (good feature... less risk of unbalanced lipo blowing up when charging) and i don't think T15 can do that...correct me if i'm wrong.

so if u wanna get a separate lipo balancer for T15 then it would cost u another $40++ ($20+ for a 2cell balancer and another $20+ for a 3celll balancer?) then it will be about a $100 diff if u wan your T15 to be able to balance lipo batt. (thats what i think... i'm also not very sure what i'm talking abt but i think i'm biased towards TL-4)
TL-4 also got a built-in cooling fan, T15 don't have one (not really a big issue because i heard that T15 don't really produce much heat during operation)

T15 is packed with a lot more functions but if u dun need them (now AND in the future) and u got a tight budget then go for TL-4 but the final decision is still up 2 the buyer. suggest go do more research on these 2 models if anyone is really interested in buying one

anyway i think i'm going for a Hobbico Quick Field Charger MkII because they can charge 2 separate batts simultaneously hahaha

yeah i'm deciding between the 2, i'm using lipo cells at the moment only, not sure if i'll use other type in future, do you think the lipo will get unbalance easily? is there really a need for a balancer? if the lipo cell really get blown up, will the charger be affected?

I'm not really sure how easy they can get unbalanced but i believe they will get unbalanced sooner or later and thats when balancers come into play. anyway balancers are highly recommended by most people so i think its a good idea to have one

As for lipos blowing up, i haven't come across any yet and i don't hope to witness one happening either. but i've seen an online video of lipo got overcharged and burst into flames! looks like a big sparkler man hahaha...
i dunno what will happen to the charger but they certainly don't like fire

The good thing about TL-4 is that it can charge 2 sets of 2 cells at the SAME TIME. cos there are 2 sets of 2cell charging ports. Even though tl15 can charge 5 cells but that doesn't mean u can charge a 3cell pack and a 2 cell pack AT THE SAME TIME.

Even if you get a TL-4 $80+ and a Prolux 1- 3 cell charger $58, it's still cheaper than the TL-15. And what you can do is charge a 3 cell pack on the prolux and 2 x 2 cells pack on the tahmazo, all at the same time. and after flying u can always charge everything with the tahmazo to balance up the cells.

i've encounter 2 times of lipo bloating up during flight, once in my easy star which smoke out the batt compartment, the foam got 'eaten' badly, due to lousy connectors, the other time was in my easy star due to heat that melted the wires together & they 'short' the lipo, both times were scary, still comtemplating if i should get a balancer or not, my 3 s comes with the balancer connectors but only 1 of my 2 s comes with it, wonder if all the connectors are the same & i can only get 1 set, i still fancy the t15 with the screen display hehe...

                      are u using TL-4?
if it really can charge 2 packs at a time then its like buying 2 chargers at a time!
then i might consider getting one too hahaha....

btw, the last time i check at SHS is $89 for a TL-4 (not sure abt the price now) so it will be $147 with a prolux charger...slightly over T15's price of $139.90 (if i remembered correctly )

lipo fires are really nasty man...
anyway u can find connectors at sim lim or some LHS and solder yourself.
i think i'm tempted to get myself a T15 too hahaha (but sadly i dun have enough $$ )

I have a "goood" solution for you that you can almost have waht you want with TL-4 and more...

                          - Get TL-4 so you can sure that you almost have balanced bat all the time
                          - Get the Astro inline volt/power meter (SHS do sell one almost the same at about $60).

Connect that meter source to your DC source, and TL-L as the load. with this you will have 2 line LCD showing you:
                          - Source Voltage
                          - Capacity used (you can safely minus some nos and take the balance as what goes in your bat)

Now the extra features that is VERY important as far as I am concerns:
The meter is for you to do bench test to ensure you know the followings:
                          - Bat voltage
                          - Power drawn by the motor
                          - mAH used
                          - Current drawn

With the above info, you will know what type of cable must be use to ensure it cantake the current so you won't have cable melt that short the circuit. Did you over push the ESC etc...

For me, I must said beside a charger, the voltmeter is the next best thing you should have.

So now, you have a parallel charger and with LCD reading as well and still sbout the same price as T15!!

Good luck and may your wish comes true...
