Anyone can enlighten me about need to discharge the lipo at the end of a flight?
Usually what happens is that I have set the battery protection at the ESC to 65% default. When battery goes low, you can see the motor going high-low-high-low for a couple of seconds, and sometimes can hear soft beeping from ESC.
Battery is usually warm by now.
Question:
1) Do I have to continue to discharge it slowing, e.g. slow rev?
2) Do I simply let it cool down and recharge at the next convenient point?
3) Does the Align Balance Charger have a discharge function? (Why I ask this is sometimes charging is 1hr, sometimes 1.5hr before all cells are green. Suspecting that it took the extra 0.5hr to discharge the cells if not already done so)
Give me your 2 cents.
Many thanks in advance!
