New Lipo. Need advice.

I have a brand new jet power 11.1v 2200mah Lipo. Do I need to discharge it? Wat`s the setting for dischanging and charging of this Lipo.. I know tat I can`t discharge it below 9v and charge it over 12v.

Charging of the pack shld end around 12.6V..
NEVER go above 12.65V to be safe..
Anyway, no 3S charger shld being it that high..
Highest i guess is 12.62V..

And dun discharge it below 3v per pack to keep them happy..

Check the discharge current, i think the jethobby packs are not very high C..

Dump them when they're dying, have seen and heard many died
even, a demo pack from on their OWN trex also can't hold the current!

Get a ETec from Mack or Kokams from SHS..
At least the KKs are slightly better that the jets..

Lithium Polymer/Ion (Li-Poly/Li-ion) is completely different from NiMH/NiCad.

Li-Poly do not have memory effect and it prefer to be in full charge for storage. It also prefer to be charged even when it is half full.

When full charge, the current flow is drop to close to 0amp.

DO NOT DO ANY DISCHARGE like what u normally do in NiMH/NiCad on the Li-Poly also.
