    Unofficial BP Fliers...again!

    Ok.....dunno where the last thread went to...it been so long since someone from BP spoke!!



    Last few weeks were not very good weeks for me...work work work work work....that's basically it...I reduced flying to 2-3 times a week...depending on schedule....and Surprisingly enjoyed flying even more....

    Fly it like you stole it...they use to say...

    Was doing quite a bit of flying lately...doing a lot of nose in inverted and loops & rolls...somehow was not interested in other things...only nose in inverted... ...The bird was not dialled after the last crashed..(I flipped inverted without idling up...duh )...then it started losing power on climbouts...suspected piston ring wear...cost = $21....

    Went to SHS earlier on to get the ring...found out the price through phone....asked johnny some questions to which he answered...' I on't know...you try lah.... ' NB....



    Went down and spoke with one of thye guys...was it jeffery or something....wanted piston ring....then cylinder liner...then piston...then connecting rod...worked out to be $122++....fed up...bought new engine....



    Think visa is my best friend...and I'm losing it soon...LOL

    bust the card or bust the hobby......sheeze

    Dropped in the new engine....will run tomorrow....5 tanks before I can lean out and get decent power....damn....




    Hope this forum will be as it was...just wanna say you guys have been a great bunch and to those buddies who fly with me...I wanna thank you guys for the understanding and encouragement....getting the new business up is hard work...sigh...dunno when I can fly everyday again....and when $$ is not an issue....now no $$ to buy fuel already....any sponsors???

    Actually good also....fly lesser and more cautiously....no crashes so far ( minus the idle up case )....save $$$...

    Seen quite a bit of unreasonable behavious here in the forum....stop yeah??just enjoy the hobby...and stop being childish...everyone's here because of their HOBBY...HOBBY only....for enjoyment....that's all...

    too lean(don't know how to spell..) is the reason you spoil the engine.

    ni bu guan ta, ta ye hui bu guan ni!!!!

    use less nitro, more rich, more health for your engine! Trust me!!!

      Art, at least end of the day you are still the BOSSSSSSSS

      You still using the PowerMaster 30% Nitro? Any verdict? Any experience of the OS throttle arm jam by the oil sludge?

      This Sunday would be a fine day. No rain indent

        Kang...I've only used 1 gallon of the PM30%....and I guess after that the engine started to give problem....before that was ok...throttle arm was ok...

        I opened the engine and serviced it...wiped all the stains etc etc..but couldn't find any scratches or damage....think its only the ring...I'm selling it to bernard....he'll need a new engine...and that os can last him for a while still...he just have to change the ring...SHS sells the ring for $21....so I guess still can use lah...

          erm...I'll stick to CP20%....most power...no difference from CP30%....equal amount of oil content....so can protect the engine....

          and sold by a gentleman....unlike PM....

            Any harm using CP 15% airplane?
            SHS says no diff.. only less smoke. Is it true?

              nic ah...CP15% plane contains less lubes...not as good for heli engines....better dun use...

                hmm but they out of stock for 15% heli.

                anyway.. just tried to fly a while ago...

                big mess..

                Try #1:
                1) Increased trottle... no response... ---> error #1... forgot to turn on receiver...

                Try #2:
                1) trying to hover... heli hopping around happily.

                2) before I burn 10% of fuel.... rain started. Also noticed engine lost power.. .. engine too hot?

                Packed up and went home.

                Total time spent: 30 minutes to get ready, and got there.
                10 minutes of setting up
                1 minute of hopping
                10 minutes to clean up and rush home...

                gosh...
                but... it is still better than nothing.

                  I bought the last bottle of 15% heli coolpower from SHS. If you want you can have it first and when the new stock comes in, you get me back another bottle. I won't be flying for another 3 weeks because of exams.

                      wah nic, must be careful leh, starting the engine with the receiver off is extremely dangerous, cos the throttle servo might have changed position from the idle. take care and fly safe...

                        i was doing a maintenence check my my heli last night...found out these things:

                        Bolt hole in the washout base had stripped. unsafe to use. needs to be replaced.

                        the muffler is almost toast. the long bolt which runs through it snapped at the extreme end, so i can't put a locknut on properly.

                        damn, more stuff to buy.

                              Err nic wait for me! don`t learn so fast
                              Anyway who is going to fly on this saturday?
                              Heli flyer especially. I need someone to turn check and turn the heli for me. hehehe . can`t wait liao!!
