    triton and pc ps

yup, just got a triton !! wonderful charger...

actually wanted to go down to simlim and get a ps but as i passed by my hse nearyby comp shop, saw a 2nd hand pc ps at only $15 plus $3 for the socket. Its rated at 8A for 12 V. It works well although i cant get exactly 12V from it. It show 23++V when i supposed to get 12V so i played around with diff combination and got a 11+V and a 14+V ones. When i was charging my lead acid batt at 2.3A, the 11V supply droped to below 10.5 thus i used the 14V and charging at 2.3A was not a problem.

really liked the triton, hope my power supply will not disappoint me in the near future.

anyway, thanks to mike for helping me to bring in !!

hi, can anyone explain to me the concept of the power supply? besides that it converts from ac to dc and can provide more current than normal 'handphone charger style' power supplies? how much does one normally cost?

basically you already got the concept of the power supply. unless you want to know the electrical part.

anyway i was taking a look at the ac-dc supplies available and notice the price was proportional to the output current. for lets say a tahmazo or a triton to work at its full potential, what's the minimum output current of the converter? and what's the likely price of it?

Yup ! The Power supply MK mod for me is simply GREAT! I test it to supply continuous 8A 13.8V, 10A(short burst). I purposely short the output, and that baby goes to sleep, protecting ur charger, and wakes up again to perform after a reset.

I can't wait to get more of the power supply!

                      Enjoy flying!
