Only managed to reach this part of the build yesterday bcos I wasn't sure about the main shaft to frame alignment, so I took apart the whole thing & re-did it hahaha
& another thing I realized is that the main gear meshing is a little too loose for my liking, but the stock motor mount & pinion support doesn't allow adjustments
What can I do about that? Any help appreciated!

For my previous 600e dfc, the meshing is much wider than I expected, wider than the thickness of paper. However, it still fly good.
As for 700, the meshing is good, just nice to me.
There are aftermarket adjustable motor mount for both 600 and 700. It is by KDE. I not sure if 550L could use the 600e adjustable motor mount.
Alternatively, in helifreak, I read that they do file or dremel the hole in the frame to make the meshing closer.
I would suggest to test fly first, before mod or change anything. Happy flying.

Hi all!
Sorry for the long break! Yesterday I did a spool-up/bench test & everything seems good Looking forward to maiden it!
There are 3 things I discovered while building this kit,
1st: E.g if you're using a JR 9xII tx with a snap on spektrum DSM2 module(what I'm having), you will have compatibility issues with the Align Gpro fbl system(at least for my case), what happened for me is that, some channels read perfectly but some glitched like crazy, which could probably be my tx's firmware being too old for the Gpro Should work fine if you use a pure spektrum tx
2nd: If you're planning to use the Talon 90 esc that comes with the combo & you like convenience, PLS make an extension to connect the motor wires to the esc, otherwise you'll be spending a 'bit' more time on it like what I did
3rd: & for this heli or any upside down motor configuration heli with a CW main rotor rotation, if you're using this esc & motor combo, REMEMBER to swap 2 wires(e.g. red/red, blue/black, black/blue), DO NOT color match the wires, or else your motor will spin in the wrong dir. So if your not planning to make an extension from the esc to the motor wires, make sure you get this right, otherwise I can only say...朋友, 我永远祝福你(Friend, I forever wish you all the best) (EDIT: If you have the castle USB link then it won't be much of a problem, cos you can change the rotating direction in the software)
Bench test video coming soon!Last edited by SoupZ; 09-09-2014, 07:53 PM.
