Dusty is back in action. This time, the flight test is done in windy conditions.
Roll control is definitely better, but the plane still exhibit some weird behaviour in stiff winds. It has tendency to do knife-edge when turning right and spiral deeply on left turns.
At this point, I would like to believe that the effectiveness of vertical surfaces on the tail, are reduced by the relatively large surfaces of the slab sided nose and cockpit. Clearly, this model lacks directional stability and the rudder trim seems to have some kind of hysteresis at neutral, probably airflow around it has been blanketed by the tall cockpit.
Bigger and taller rudder next!
