Good work Dennis. Is the pointy end of those fancy horns the only part that is actually sticking into the aileron surface?

Yup. That's the only part that goes into the aileron. But I also glued the horizontal section to the aileron too. Tough to do with the wipers in the way.

That's a nice weight for a full carbon wing dlg.

It's really a beauty, I must say. On top of that it's 285g for a full carbon.... nice.

I bet it flies real smooth. Quick, what's the launch height?

Ayioh.. must resist temptation. must resist the dark carbon force....

Good job. Just wondering, should there be a piece of "tube" to prevent friction against the string ?

                          Sherwin,

Have not measured launched height but its about the same thereabouts...bewteen 30-40m depending on the wind.

Since I glued the rudder slightly crooked, I had to trim to compensate. Now it launches straight with a slight whistle.

Im using a 400mah Kan cells and they generally last about 2 hours of non stop flying. These babies are super smooth and quiet so quiet happy with thier perfromance so far. Strong too.

As for flight characteristics, this bird just wants to go. With everything at neutral she just cuts thru the air. I tried here with 60g of ballast and than she really got going. She's also very nimble and agile, great for aerobatics.

A very very different animal from the concept. If the concept is a sophisticated socialite that takes thngs slow, the fireworks is the biker chick who wants to go fast and she will taunt you to go even faster. You would have to camber before she slows down. Unlike the concept who likes to fly slow even at neutral. The concept flies great on dead air days, the fireworks is good on windy days, add ballast and she hauls ass....

And added wipers to the rudder and the whistling at launch has subdued. Getting to like her more and more.
